What an exciting day! Barack Obama became President of the United States today and I spoke with Niney the Observer! Congratulations President Obama! The whole world was watching and we can be proud of what it saw. Thank you for that.

I spoke with Winston "Niney" Holness right after the inauguration ceremonies ended today. Niney compared Obama's positive attitude and message to the vibe that's needed in today's music. Press the red button to hear Niney in his own words! (audio is a bit muffled, sorry about that...)
And here is my ruff transcript of what he's saying (for anyone having trouble with the audio quality and accent) -
Now you see we have a president today, come in today, not comin' to preach violence today, comin' to preach LOVE.
So you have to put a lot of love in the music. And so, [if] you put a lot of love in the music, the whole world would be LOVE.
He's not far off either - I heard reports from D.C. that described the audience during Obama's inaugural speach as congregational. Obama is kinda like a beloved preacher....
The interview was fantastic, I learned so much. Niney said we'll see a lot of vinyl comin' from The Observer soon. He also said he's working on two tracks with Beenie Man right now and wanted Amy Winehouse to sing on a new tune with Beenie Man! He said the tune mixes Rhythm n Blues with reggae and that Amy would be good on it. But - if she doesn't get cleaned up and back on track soon, she'll miss her chance and he'll find someone else!
(That gal throws away more amazing opportunities than most of us ever get. Daft!)
I'll post more about the interview as I process it (in my head). I just thought y'all would dig hearing Niney's voice and what he's up to right now.

I picked Obama W/ Biden running against McCane before any race's started.
Been a Conservative Republican my whole life and left the GOP this year.
Obama was the real thing when he gave the speech at Jonn Kerry's
convention and I said that's it & I just waited.
So any music based on (Philia), Love is what the world needs to be able to
survive the final judgement coming to the earth.
I have never heard so much of scripture used in 2 years of a campaign,
in most cases correctly.
I do not think this Inaugeration was the choice of any Man!!
The most phenominal inauguration I've ever seen...I think we're in good hands...even though he flubbed the actual oath lol :-) Hey, he IS human!
I have had to give talks & give council on speakers for 40 years
In all kinds of audience size, a few thousand at the most.
I never got used to it I hated getting up before people and never slept night before or ate the day or night before.
The only thing that helped me get by was to know I was unimportant but the words were not.
