Greatest Hits + Documentary From Paul Oakenfold

Paul Oakenfold seems to be just coming out of the woodwork this year. The last few years have seen the house dj experimenting with making his own music and the biggest hit to come from that thus far is the song with actress Brittany Murphy (8 Mile, Sin City) on vocals, "Faster Kill Pussycat." Oakenfold once claimed that he hadn't heard of the band of almost the same name when he created the song. This year finds the dj on tour with trance electronica band Underworld, who have also recently ended a hiatus with a new release. Oakenfold now has enough original compositions and remixes to warrant a full album release and that's just what he has planned for October 23rd. The deluxe edition of the forthcoming Greatest Hits & Remixes on Perfecto/Ultra Records will include a bonus DVD with 20 minutes of live concert footage and a documentary about the dj-turned-producer. Filmed in Ibiza, London and Los Angeles, the 13-minute film gives fans a peek at the Grammy-nominated artists’ world including a private tour of the Chelsea soccer stadium in the U.K., his villa in exotic Ibiza and life at home in Los Angeles. Friends, business associates and family are also interviewed in the piece.
