Ian MacKaye's Death Proven False

Posted over 2 years ago
Ian MacKaye, frontman for Minor Threat and Fugazi, has been getting a lot of phone calls today. He answers immediately with the statement, "I am still alive." He goes on to say, "I am happy to report that I am not dead." Someone from the Baltimore Sun had trouble with the confusing facts in the story about MacKaye being hit by a car in New Jersey in front of a concert that didn't exist, and being treated in a hospital in Baltimore. So, they rang him up at home, and before they could say hello, the legendary punk singer made those statements. He also told of how he's had to remove rumours of his death from Wikipedia, twice today, as well as my$pace. Thank goodness, punk's not dead.Read the full story on the Baltimore Times and NowPublic news.
