Y'all Know The Rules...

The album: Iron Flag. The clan: Wu-Tang. When I first heard Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), I didn't like it. It wasn't like anything I had heard before, and it was a little bit sparse for my taste. Gradually, it seeped into my brain and became one of my favorite rap albums. Then they sort of lost me with Forever and The W. I can't really say they found me again with Iron Flag, but "Rules" stood out immediately and remains one of my favorite Wu-Tang tracks.The album was released towards the end of 2001, and Ghostface's verse early on in the song is pretty much enough to convince me that Bush should have sat down and let Ironman Starks handle the situation. Plus, you've got that crazy, mixed-up beginning with lines from different Clan members all crammed together, and the Method Man chorus featuring liberal use of everybody's fave four-letter expletive.
