Fountains of Wayne tune...

Posted about 1 year ago
"Hey Julie" is an older tune from FoW, from the album that first introduced me to the group. Tons of other people also met Fountains listening to this album--mostly because of the song "Stacey's Mom" about a kid who likes his friend Stacey's mom more than he likes Stacey. The whole album is great, including similarly peppy tunes like "Peace and Love." But Fountains also lets us see the mellow side of life with "These Days," an introspective look back on lost love. My favorite song from the newest Fountains of Wayne album, "Traffic and Weather," tells a bittersweet tale of two people who live next-door to one another and are both looking for the same thing (also the title of the track): Someone to Love.

  1. SamTheButcher says "Hey Julie" is one of my favorite FoW tracks. I put it on a mix CD that we had on vacation a few years back and my whole family knows and loves that song.

  2. dermahrk says That third CD (Managers) is definitely their strongest, but I have all of their CDs, including some bootlegs. Definitely one of my favorite bands of today, and I'm always happy to encounter another FOW fan!
