WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

I know you feel let down

    Long Way
There's a dog barking behind one of the houses. I like to think it is because I am singing this song out loud in my kitchen with the windows open and the little guy is singing along. Probably not though. Anyway, I am going to keep singing it, because I got out of work on time which means I am alone in the house for a bit. Until I go off the deep end and start singing out loud on the subway, or magically become a decent enough singer that I will sing in the house in front of people, this is one of my few chances to go for it. Singing is good for the soul, you know. Singing this is excellent for the soul. Tam (and Lola, of course), I thank you for bringing this into my life lo many years ago.Speaking of many years, today is 12 since I met Dollie. Whoa.

  1. Bartleby says Oh, what wouldn't I give to be able to busk in the streets, in the tube, on the plaza in that small village where the only spectator would be a dog chasing his tail? I'm not sure I could pull off that tune as well as you though. Thanks for the lovely "daydreaming" and the introduction to the General Store. See you soon on the cyber village square. PS: Happy 12th anniversary to Dollie & you.

  2. Wahiawa786 says A Google! search turned up links to everything but "The General Store" and "Tam Johnstone," which I found at last.fm, as usual. The Y2K (GB) release, "Local Honey" has been followed by a 2008 release, "Mountain Rescue," featuring an interesting band lineup. (Information about The General Store may have been in the initial Google! search, but pages of information about generic general stores located hither and yon got me down.)

  3. modernlog says Oh, I am sorry for all the trouble finding The General Store. If you click on "Tam" in the post, it will take you to The General Store site. Unfortunately, Mog doesn't make it too easy to see that there's a link in a post.
