Kites Go Flying in Montreal

ok, so -

the Black Kites have been invited to perform at Pop Montreal in October. we're all so very excited - me especially, 'cause i haven't played in Canada since 1995 or so. I'm also excited because Nick Cave is going to be there too (i just hope we aren't scheduled at the same time...)

there's some sort of voting thing going on too - it's a little bit of a hassle, but if you've got the time - feel free to vote for the Black Kites -

you have to listen to all these songs and say if it's Pop or Poop.... and i just hope you don't think we're poop....

it's kind of exciting, but also nerve wracking - we're still waiting to find out when exactly we're supposed to play. Seems like there's going to be awhole lot of cool bands playing.... and it's kind of strange, 'cause i've never even heard of this music festival before - shows how up to date i am with my canadiana. i know about SXSW, NXNE, NXNW, CMJ, Lollawhatever, but Pop Montreal? somehow i missed it....

so, here's to a great festival in October i hopes....
