And I was just transported into that feeling you get of “man I just love this song”. The first time I heard this song – it was the House of Love version – which is wonderful and brilliant – but the original – there’s just something a little more raw and discordant within it.
the intro hits, and you move along, then suddenly... the drums roll and the guitar sways down low, and the song kicks in like some bloodstream pulse, and everytime - it gets me -
it’s still hypnotic and moving and melodic and soothing, but there’s something else, a little special original flavor. And it gives me goosebumps, and it gives me, well, chills.
It’s a sad and depressing song, but at the same time there’s hints of both romance and regret – I don’t know what it is – but it’s delightfully macabre, and still manages to overpower with hope and light. This song – I love it, but it confuses me.
I'm really not lyingI'm so scaredI have to stop cryingnow that she's dead
What can I do if she dies? What can I do if she dies? What can I do if she's lost?Just the thought fills my heart with pink frost.
