so - getting my head back into swing for the working week - i let my ears fall into some Arab Strap. Some good ol' scottish indie from 2003 - Monday Morning at the Hug & Point, of course... and then the remix hit, and it's perfect.

sometimes i'm not a fan of the remixed song, but sometimes it manages to work. i'm not going to get into my whole remix philosophy here, but i know i couldn't have made it through high school without my Cure 12"s - though that's another story...

here, we got the Dirty Hospital remix - and i'm a'lovin' it.

it feels like a good monday song to me - it's got the sadness and the beat, and moves it up so there's a bright sparkle... a sonic silver lining, if you will...
