When i was growing up, my family would go to Mexico to visit my extended family about once a year. This was possibly the best thing my parents ever did for me. Growing up and loving LA going to rural towns and small cities in Mexico sure gave this city boy a nice change of pace. One of the many things I remember most of this, is how close to nature i got. Jumping over streams, climbing up rocky cliffs, riding horses, and running in the fields.Few songs remind me of those times as much as _Where I Go_ does. The song only has a sprinkle of folk in it, yet it seems to evoke the power of nature in ways many folk songs attempt, but fail to do. It seems like the song is infused with spring time sun.O, child it's lovelyLet the river take it all awayThe mad pace and the hurryThe troubles and the worriesJust let the river take them all awayFlow away
_Natalie Merchant thinking of how fun nature is_It really is a song of peace, and a perfect song to accompany the apple your eating while relaxing on your porch, or to accompany that book you're reading while laying in the hammock, enjoying the spring breeze and the smell of flowers. If you have none of those, go to a park and take _Where I Go_ with you.
