So, today my music library surpassed the 12,000 song mark, currently at 12,017 songs which is about 59 Gigs worth of music. I feel like celebrating. That leaves me with roughly 13 Gigs worth of free space left on my external hard drive. Now I have to go spend $100 on a bigger hard drive. Seeing as this past Friday I had only 11,172 songs in my library, I am pretty sure I broke a record for most downloaded music in a 24 period (I didn't start downloading until yesterday). I am clapping for myself right now.Don't get me wrong, when I say downloading I mean both the legal kind (paid for) and the illegal kind (mostly the latter). I feel that every artist deserves to profit off of what product they put out. And I feel that if they put out a quality product they will get what they are due. And I also feel like the record companies make most of that money anyway, and I don't feel that they deserve that money as much as the artist. So, I choose to spend my money on going to the shows/concerts where the artists see a bigger cut than the record companies. That's how I rationalize it and it makes sense to me. So screw you for judging me, if you are.You know what's funny? The album that put me over the top was "5th Gear" by Brad Paisley. Now, I am not one for country music, usually. But I like this guy because he writes good music and his videos are pretty funny. Like his latest one for the song attached to this post "Online". It won't let me embed the video here, but check it out if you have the chance:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GcVnhNjWV0So, thanks Brad, You really helped me out. Keep on truckin'.
