I read again the words of Padmasambhava from the cycle of The Tibetan Book of the Dead:Now when the bardo of dying dawns upon me,I will abandon all grasping, yearning, and the attachment,Enter undistracted into clear awareness of the teaching,And eject my consciousness into the space of the unborn Rigpa;As I leave this compound body of flesh and blood,I will know it to be a transitory illusion..I knew that only two things would count when I entered the bardo: what I had done in my lives, and what state of mind I was in at the moment of my death. I focused on my breathing and the clear white light that would embrace me when I saw the Ground Luminosity. When I would join the others who had been enlightened.My husband found me on my cushion. The incense burned and my focus was on the clear light. He walked slowly towards me. How innocent he looked as he delivered the fatal blow.
