I'm always a bit apprehensive about trying new genres of music, I haven't heard much or any of before. But I was browsing amazon.com and looked at someone's list of Top-whatever-albums (don't you love those lists/guides? Speaking of need to update mine soon) and came across a guide to folk or as they put it - I think - fairytale folk, which intrigued me.I've noticed that in The Sun's music reviews on a Friday (I always look forward to a Friday lunchtime at work, so I can read all the new CD reviews!) that there seem to be a lot of folk CDs coming out getting a lot of critical acclaim and I generally like what I read in the reviews. Always sounds very....well intriguing. I think I'd like the "feel" of the music - music that kinda makes you feel like you're in a really scenic place (coughHydeWhiteSongcough <3 ) And I think these lyrics might actually....possibly...interest me, as in I might actually listen to them. (There's an idea for another post - lyrics) Plus all the song titles seem really cool! But my problem is that I don't really wanna buy before "sampling" any of their stuff. Cause if I buy a CD I'm not to keen on it takes up valuable space! I'd really like to try before I buy. So does anyone have any recommendations for me (for them or any other artists of this genre. And whilst I'm requesting, if anyone can recommend any ethereal music that'd be great too) or can tell me anything about them? From the samples I've heard from their self titles album, I like the sound of Byss & Abyss, which kinda reminds me of a Final Fantasy tune (that and the band's name lol)Anyway, that's the end of my posting for tonight! Had one of those days where multiple Mog posts come into my head, and I spent part of my work day planning out what I'm going to type (I'm obviously very constructive!)
