Little Boots @ Hootenannys

I saw Little Boots on Friday! She put on a free gig where I live!

I've ticked this as a review though it's more a mini review. Admittedly I wasn't familiar with many of her songs and apart from that can never retain a setlist after a concert or really remember how the songs sounded live. So this'll be short and sweet. It's really just a collection of my random thoughts from the show.

Love the poster she had up on stage (pictured). The camera on my phone is really crap so that;s the only decent pic I got. Still it's a good one!

My friend and I ended up getting a good spot near the exit and stage and she walked past me when she came in. She was wearing a green dress which looked kinda mermaid-y I thought and ties into the poster. My favourite performance was Stuck on Repeat which she saved for last.

There was a couple dancing at the front really going for it - go them - and she came into the crowd and started dancing with them! It was a lot of fun, though I wasn't really in a dancing/bouncing mood so I was nodding my head appreciatively with the rest of the crowd. Meddle was good too and she did a knew song which may or may not have been Earthquakes.

It was a great night out and good of her to do it for free when I wouldn't have minded paying. My friend and I are definately gonna check out her CD when it comes out. Surprisingly, it isn't up for preorder anywhere yet.
