First my totally non-music related MGS3:Subsistence rant - when the hell is it going to get released? I remember Amazon had it down as Dec 05 originally and even though the date kept changing, the day finally seemed to be getting closer with magazine reviews and Amazon sticking to the 01/09/06 release. Checked Amazon yesterday and now it's Oct! I'm assuming it's already been released in the US, so what's taking so long? I don't even care about the online play! (The whole PS2 online is a total farce anyway!) I just want to get it so I can replay MGS3 (been putting off replaying it till I get Subsistence), play the original MGs and check out the bonus discs! MGS3:S has been delayed quite a few times already - it's getting to Angel of Darkness proportions here!!!! Anyway FFX Disc 1. Some of the song titles might be wrong as I'm taking them from bluelaguna.net (great site for ff music) and their tracklisting goes from 1-70 or whatever whereas mine is split into 4 discs, so I might miscount and get the wrong song title! To Zanarkand - Lovely song! Makes the opening sequence one of the best, up there with FFVIII. IT should be vocalised! By Angela Aki or Kristine Sa, The Prelude - what a fun tune! It starts out all happy and they you're like "hey it's the prelude!" Tidus' Theme - love it, such a jaunty little tune. Doesn't beat Jecht's theme though! Otherworld - Like other people when I first heard this I was like WTF? I didn't even realise it was in english at first - thought it was by some german rock band or something. Who does sing this song anyway? Hurry! - brings back memories of playing the demo! (need new FF memories - bring on XII!) Ominous - ahh a bit ambience, not heard much on FF OSTs, Normal Battle - again demo memories, it's quite a happy song too! Not my favourite battle theme though, but it is fun! Hopeless Desire - this is a good song! Reminds me of playing FFX when I got it, sitting there with my duvet on me, wolfing down a bar of Thorton's Toffee Chocolate. Yum! Enemy Attack - this is a good battle theme. Really motivational!! Reminds me of fighting...uh....that thing before Bevelle. Took me a few attempts to beat it! Blitz Ball Gamblers - ahh this song reminds me of when I first saw the trailer and I'd watch it constantly cause the graphics were totally "wow" especially in the Farplane scenes. Besaid Island - nice summery tune. Relaxing. Sight of Spira - reminds me of Costa Del Sol! The first variation of Suteki Da Ne. Song of Prayer - just classic FFX! Fantasy - nice and...airy? Someone like Mika Nakashima should add vocals to this! Between Ordeals - ahhh the Cloister of Trials theme....well ordeal is one way to put it lol! Don't mind this song but after a while it does get grating! Daughter of The Great Summoner - this is one track I really grew to love when I got the soundtrack. Have been listening to it a lot lately. Totally gorgeous (and another variation of SDN)
