This is a song that should have been all over the radio but was probably just too good to get the airplay. It is a plaintive love song without the plaintive tone.
Lyrics are sweetly evocative. The sense of what being madly, happily, in love is and how everything else fades in importance (alas, even if only for a little while) is capatured in a few lines: "We spent summers out beyond the bay You said these are such perfect days that if the bomb drops baby I want to be the last to know"
It also has a nice revealory ending. Give this a few listens and it will make it's way under your skin like the very best pop music does.
