whoa!! Thats pretty harsh!! I know what you mean though. They are huge over on this side of the waters (no jokes intended) They were kinda marketed as a "Mamas and Papas" for this generation, and were championed by "The Chemical Brothers" who used them on one of their albums. They snuck two singles out (Forever Lost & Love Me Like You) which I though were really catchy and so I got my hands on the album and it started off great "Morning Eleven" really kicked the album off positively, but as it goes on it really gets almost a bit gruelling to listen to......in fact I dont think ive ever been able to listen to the last half album in one full go.
I think that there are a few good songs on it which people should listen to (the ones mentioned above) but definetly not worth spending hard earned cash on
Oh, and they have a new album out now, "Those The Brokes" which is pretty much exactly the same!!!
I own but hardly ever listen to their albums. I saw them play live before the first album released and prefer to get my Magic Numbers fix that way. They're a different beast on stage.

I'm with you both, I really enjoy songs 1 and 2, but usually skip over songs 3 to 12 cause I can't take anymore.
