I have been a HURT fan for awhile now & this past weekend I had the honor to finally see them perform live. Amazing! They opened up for Seether, Breaking Benjamin & Three Days Grace. They had such an amazing performance! They only played a few songs, which I was pretty bummed about but hey what can you do.My friend saw them perform a few months back and said that they had so much more emotion and feeling than a lot of other bands. He was dead on. I have never seen a lead singer put more heart and soul into it than J. Loren did. On top of that, the man can totally rock the violin. Broken strings everywhere! I was completely captivated! Evan Johns completely dominated the drums while Josh Ansley & Paul Spatola did what they do best on the bass and the guitar!Between songs, Loren asked the crowd how many of them had never heard of HURT before and 90% of them all raised their hand. I feel like the world is really missing out not knowing these guys and not being taken over by their music. The music really is amazing and filled with feeling. My only hope is that HURT keeps on touring and keeps on rocking out every venue like they do so well and then everyone who wasn't familiar with them before, SPRINTS to the closest music store and buys their albums. I would hate to see anyone deprived of the powerful, strong, melodic magic spilling out of this band.P.S. After the show, the band went to the back to shake hands and sign autographs. Such down to earth, awesome guys! If you aren't familiar with them, I strongly urge you not to waste another moment- go check em out!
