Someone get that man an inhaler

I think Muse might have been ruined for me -- a few days ago a friend told me she can't stand to listen to them because Matt Bellamy's asthma-like breathing gasps drive her nuts. I'd never noticed it before, but now that she pointed it out, it's all I can hear. He really is a very loud breather, and I'm finding it very distracting indeed. You can use any Muse song as evidence, but if you're not convinced, have a listen about 3:20 into "Knights of Cydonia." Those aren't the loudest gasps he does, but they are very exposed. After that you can listen to every other Muse song, and you'll notice the gasps just start jumping out at you.I'll admit I am finding it annoying, even though I like Muse for the most part.

  5. Heli0tr0pe says FEH - who cares, lots of singers do that, you just don't fixate on it. Or shouldn't.

  6. Shimone says Bah thats stupido, the breathing makes the music partly, it creates a kind of urgency to the songs. For example, time is running out or stockholm syndrome. Classic Muse.
