The Bird Man Dominik Eulberg

Posted over 4 years ago
I had the pleasure of seeing (and hearing lets not forget) Dominik Eulberg live a few weeks back at Culture Box, Copenhagen, Denmark. Awesome venue, quit a thrill.
Anyway what got me hooked on Dominik aka The Bird Man (the name he has come to go by in my circle of friends) was the 2007 album Heimische Gefilde. A dubby trip to the German Walds. Dominik recorded a bunch of domestic birds and used them to create the tripping album. Between each track he shortly introduces the birds and their "instruments". Check out.
Today I heard the track Der Tanz Der Blau-Grosaikjungfer from the Flora and Fauna album. If the Heimsche Gefilde album is to strange for you you should check out this rather cheerful track. Great beats and you are not in doubt why it is featured on an album called Flora and Fauna.
Have a nice weekend, cheers :o)

  1. brittanybf says so there are beats on the bird album too or is it just straight up birds chirping? sounds...interesting either way.

  2. mbl says Heimische Gefilde: Nothing but birds. Flora and Fauna: Less birds chirping, you might even find a tune here. :-)
