WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Daft Punk Live @ The Greek Theatre: A Visual First Look

Posted about 1 year ago
Mind Blowing! Daft Punk put on one of the most awe inducing masterpieces of live "art" I've ever had the pleasure to see. It was like one enormous light show, mixed with some of the finest electronic music ever made; I guess if we need t start making comparrisions, it was the cloest you could get to a rave without actually going to one, and there's nothing wrong with that, is there?! (yes, people doing E and not-so-mysterious white powders included). I've heard life altering stories of going to Daft Punk shows and that's relly just not too far off. I can't get over (as you may very well be able to tell) just how incredible last night was! I don't have the energy to really give this show the proper write-up at the moment, so for now, and while my photos wait for my missing camera cord; I've cobled together some other peoples photos for a visial journey through last nights show. I'll post mine, which were only taken in the brief seconds in the night when i was wasn't freaking the fuck out about how amazing the show was and/or wasn't dancing more than i ever have in my life (i'm definetely sore today!). Let me just breifly put this note out here: If Daft Punk is ever playing in a couple hundred mile radius of where you happen to be (or, if you're James Murphy, your house), do yourself a huge favor and get your ass over there. So, What can I say about the two men who constructed this marvel, all the while in an enormous LED electronic pyramid wearing space suits that eventually themselves had LED lights everywhere (sorry, no picture of when they turned around at the very end and the back of there jacket had the Daft Punk logo in LED lights. Look hard at that dark picture and you can see their helmets lit up though!)...today, i can say nothing. Fuck, this was amazing!
Daft Punk: A Visual Journey--real write up, tomorrow, stay tuned!

  2. max says unless you dont consider electronic music to be "music", then yes, there was an abundance (nearly 2 hours) of pure electronic bliss...Oh, an if you're more prone to it, The Rapture opened, but with the exception of "Out of The Races and Onto The Tracks" I could really care less
