I think I'm begining to like this little new release preview thing a bit too much; it's just easy for me to maintain is all. But I digress, what I've got for you today is a new Spoon song of their forthcoming Merge release Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, dropping July 10th. It's the first song released so far from the album and it's called 'The Ghost of You Lingers" and it's, um, not very good? There's just really nothig that grasping about it, and in the words of "The Music Slut":www.musicslut.blogspot.com "the track sounds a little bit like a lost Elton John b-side. That, with a heavy dose of Journey." I couldn't agree more, except a bad Elton John b-side, and, well, I'll save my thoughts on Journey for a more appropriate time.
