B***Hole Surfers [Glenn Miller Ballroom, Boulder, CO - 10/31/88]

The first time I caught the Surfers was Halloween 1988. [Saw them two more times after that: at Mammoth Events in Denver; and at Lollapalooza I.] Warlock Pinchers opened this show (and the Mammoth Show) with lots of big signs and props. The Surfers put on a power-packed show with two 16 mm movie projectors running autopsy films and the like. Won't forget their dancer who came out in a animal costume and slowly stripped to nothing. The fully-nude dancing was cut short by campus security. Surfers still had two drummers at the time - including Teresa Nervosa. Touring for "Hairway to Steven."
