listening to the verve's urban hymns. i had forgotten how many songs there are on this album that i can listen to again and again. the drugs don't work, the rolling people, lucky man. bittersweet symphony had just come out as a single when i was in stockholm for a week in a new relationship. she colored the way i heard the song, and the song colored the way i saw this new city. every bar we'd go to, i'd go ask the dj if they could play it. was my favorite song for months to come. also playing ghostface killah's supreme clientele lately, the band's music from big pink, the best of peter sellers, white magic, sebadoh III, country blues of john lee hooker, eminem's rap olympic battles on youtube. a friend just sent me joni mitchell's miles of aisles. maybe tomorrow morning.how lucky we are to have so much to explore and feel accompanied by on speakers and headphones. mmph. g'night.

  4. ivylander says I trust that the Peter Sellers record has his "A Hard Day's Night" on it. If you can call it a cover version, it's one of the best....
