Sounds like canada, but i think it's actually uk. Listening to it right now you can't help but think about sunset rubdown, wolfparade, arcade fire or clap your hands. so if those are your things this record is worth saying hello to. However this one has a differnt edge. it's simplier- alot like the clean and sorta the fall. drums are little more than a velvets metronome and the guitars are ...

loving this song. maybe i'm just a sucker for those backwards guitars and super compressed drums, but i can seriously listen to his song 15 times in a row. sounds like a new wavier polvo. i found it on a hyped to death comp. worth looking out for. I hear that somebody is going to re-release their records soon?

A very long and very wonderful show. it is very rare that an old timer like my self can take 2 hours or rock, but this... worth the 3hour drive, worth the $20 ticket, worth the convenience charge! These guys have so many great songs and when they just keep coming at you.wow.And aside from a few minutes of noodle-os, it was on. really on. they played pretty much everything, fire eyed boy was ma

I had heard Emma's house and liked it so i thought i would give this a spin. Rest of the record is overpolished sarah records twee and doesn't really stand out for me. But "Emma's House" is a keeper.

Most of the record plays close to Ride with some Kinks style melodies and british invasion guitar action. Occasionally a little bit of (somewhat)contemporary stuff pokes through, sounding a bit like the loud shoegazer side of YLT. Allmusic compares them to the Lilys and that's a damn fine comparison, both from the shoegazer side and the 60s angle. And a lot like the Lilys, I think these guys wo

I had been on the fence about even going to this show, but a my sis and a friend from work were going to be there, so even if i wasn't stoked about the music, it could still mean quality rock time with friends and family. I had never really connected with "The loon" but I thought the tapes might be able to make the songs pop live. But by the end of the show i realized that they really don't have

Simple, haunting, beautiful record. Basically just acoustic guitar and voice SOAKED in reverb with only the occasional accent instrument. The minor key melodies and close harmonies are extremely memorable. Beautiful record, completely recommended. Reminds me a lot of skygreen leopards "thousand bird ceremony" (another great record) w/o all the field recordings.

From the drier side of morr comes guther. You can certainly hear the lali puna in there, but it's stripped down the bones and really almost a singer-songwriter thing with a few signature morr production touches. Most of the record is a little too sparse and low key for me, but when it does fill in i like the results. "Many Frames per moment" and "Even when it's not" are the keepers for me.

Nice straight indie rock. gotta love "please visit your national parks." that song really blows it up. The rest of the record is better than their earlier material, but still not grabbing me.
