listening to phosphorescent. had the pleasure of seeing him at glasslands in brooklyn. he wore a shirt with lightbulbs in it. i don't know if he does that all the time, but it was spectacular. the new nada surf record is finished. it's called lucky. it'll be out in early february. i love it.

just got back from seattle this morning, where we spent a month recording at robert lang's. what a place! anyway, all that's left is a little bit of writing/rewriting, some vocals and extra stuff and mixing, but really it's almost done. lots of friends came by and played and sang. some hard rocking rock, some goodnight songs, some stuff in between. now listening to le mystere des voix bulgares,...

we're in seattle recording. i'm sitting in the live room right now while some bass overdubs are happening because that's where the wifi signal is. screen's rattling though, i think i'll sign off. this studio is amazing, all mc escher stairways and winding hallways. i spotted a spare record player so i'm going to see if i can move into our apartment upstairs. missing that sound.
