Early 90s Nostalgia

Posted almost 2 years ago

This is an album I loved when it came out in the early 90s. I was inspired to listen to Paul Weller's solo material by an English friend who had been really into and gave me first introduction to The Style Council and The Jam (and the latter is one of my favorite bands).

This album might feel more dated/be harder for a modern listener not familiar with the Jam to get into. Still, it has a strong spirit and a little remant of the edge and soul that pushed Weller into notoriety in the first place. I wish I heard it in his more recent work.

Do you two love the new album? I'm not a fan, though it picks up at the end.
