Paul's outdoor performance Monday night in front of tens of thousands in the Ukranian capital of Kiev was nothing short of amazing. During thunder, lightning and torrential rain Paul performed a two and a half hour show in the former Soviet city that has never been host to a show by Paul or any of the former Beatles before.
Paul opened with the Beatles classic Drive My Car and did many other Beatles hits including Penny Lane, Let It Be, Hey Jude and of course Back In The USSR. He also did some earlier solo favorites including Jet, Calico Skies, and Live And Let Die complete with pyrotechnics and fireworks treatment. He closed out the show with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
This was Paul's first full concert in the former Soviet Republic and it was broadcast on live television across the country.
Paul will be 66 years old on Wednesday.
