Manson put on a great show last night in Hot-Lanta to a sold-out crowd. It was well worth the long drive down south and having to listen to the picketing Baptists with their big signs and megaphones blaring nonsense right outside the line to get inside. I was standing near the front of the stage and when he first came on I thought I was going to get crushed to death but I eventually wormed my way all the way to the front and was able to see MM and Twiggy much better as well as breathe (I'm glad I'm not short). At one point a girl was spidering along the top of the crowd, landing on few heads along the way and then something loosened and her ass became completely separated from the pants she was wearing. These kinds of things keep it interesting for me. The stage show was great and he did his notorious Bible burning on the pulpit routine during Antichrist Superstar. Good crowd, good show, good atmosphere...I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Now if he'd only come to The Orange Peel here in Asheville NC like QOTSA did last year, it'd be even better.
