Spot The Oddity, Pt. 1 - Solution

Posted about 1 year ago
Here I've posted the audio solution. I'm happy to credit both crowleyal and FastRMacR for being the first to post the correct answer last week. They both pointed out the extra measure that occurs just before John's "Yellow matter custard" line and that this was the version on the single and now you can hear the comparison (a few second of the differing part of the single followed by the same part in the standard version). Walrus was released as the B-side to Hello Goodbye late in 1967. For more info read the comments here.

  1. deadmandeadman says Do you have more than a minute's worth of the boys doin' Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35? It was really just them f(ool)ing around in the studio a bit. I have it on vinyl but it ends abruptly at 1:12 ("tape(cassette)measure).

  2. marknavl says Yep I have it on a CD bootleg called Songs From The Past. It's from the Get Back sessions in Jan. 1969.

  4. marknavl says That's cool. I have 28 instances in my Beatles collection of Beatles covers. Many are in the Jan. 69 Get Back/Let It Be sessions and are just fooling around in the studio and most aren't that great. But here's what I want you to do: Go here: http://www.mybeatlescollection.com/tracksintro.php and type "Dylan" in the first search box and set it's poplist to Authorship (you'll see what I mean when you get there) and you will see what I have. Let me know if you have problems. Mighty Quinn and Positively 4th St are there.

  5. marknavl says Sorry Jeff, It's not more than a minute of it but I think that's all that exists.
