Concert Review- Brad Paisley, Jack Ingram, Taylor Swift (6-23-07)

I have got to admit, I'm a country girl. Generally speaking, I know what to expect from a country concert. Still, this concert held a few surprises for me.When I recieved my tickets to this concert, the opening acts were listed as Kellie Pickler, Taylor Swift, and Little Big Town. However, currently on tour with Brad Paisley are Jack Ingram, Taylor Swift, and Kellie Pickler. I decided I was more t

Concert Review- Red, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace (6-21-07)

The hundreds of people who were looking to enjoy a Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace concert Thursday at the Fillmore found a jam-packed pit in a sweltering 100 degree building. But that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.Red, a rather unknown band, opened the show. Playing a four song hard rock set, they got the place going despite the heat. After a tortureous 30-45 switch over, Breaking Benjamin

New Maroon 5...Finally

If you're someone who loved Songs About Jane, you will have mixed feelings about the new It Won't Be Soon Before Long, released today (May 22). The tracks are generally more dance/disco oriented than the SAJ tracks we are accustomed to...but this album still includes slower and more-melodic tracks that SAJ-lovers will thrill over.If you're someone who hated Songs About Jane, you too will have mixe

Just a thought...

Anyone looking for a great local band in the Colorado area? Look no further. I have made it my mission to introduce RedLine Definace into the mog-o-sphere. Based out of Metro Denver, RedLine Defiance are a nice breed of rock. Soon, I'll be messing about with uploading MP3s for ya'll, but for now, just take my word on the love. And whilst I'm here, I'll give a shoutout to RedLine's bass player, Carl

Fall Out Boy Concert (5-11-2007)

Friday night, infamous Fiddler's Green was home to a concert to last a millenium.Cobra Starship opened up at the venue. Few in attendence (I included) had heard much from this yearling band but we were driven to rock right along.Paul Wall burst onto the stage with such enthusiasm the crowd paid attention. Primarily alt rock fans, however, don't have much interest in an inner city repetitive rap...

New Material

Finally! This is quite different from the first bit of M5, but I must say. With the promise of more progressive material, I'm (not so) patiently awaiting next week and the new album. However, as much as I love this track, I will be disappointed if all the new material is similar to this. Too repetitive if you catch my drift.Good night and good luck,Marie Nicaea
