I just wanted to make a quick post to share my latest obsession. La Blogotheque. I'm sure many of you have already heard of it, but for those of you who haven't, it is a music blog based in France. You're probably thinking "What makes this blog so special?" Well aside from the fact that I don't understand most of what they post, they have produced some of the greatest performance videos I have ever seen. They're called Take Away Shows and they have to be seen by everyone who loves music and film. Words don't do them justice, please follow the link and see them for yourself.
As you can probably tell from my recently played list, I got my pre-order of "Neon Bible" yesterday and I must say I'm very impressed. People are right when they say it's no "Funeral", but that's not a bad thing at all. It has a sound different from any of their other albums to date but still has that solemn intensity I've come to love. They have expressed themselves really well on this record; the vocals are far better, the lyrics are powerful, the music compliments them both beautifully. If you haven't already, go out and buy this album, you won't be sorry.

I agree, it does sound a little different from Funeral. I like the idea of Funeral better though, a cd for expressing yourself rather than Neon Bible where they are trying to get across a specific message.

Oh! sweet baby Jesus. I just found out about La Blogotheque maybe a month ago and it fucking kills me every week. The Guillemots, Arcade Fire, and Shins take away shows are the tops! You rock for bringing this site up.....or just beating me to the punch. Naw, you rock!
