ticketmaster rapes you!!!!

Posted about 5 years ago
this is sort of an update on my last post about getting tickets for the police reunion tour. well, the tickets went on sale on monday at 10 so i headed over to my local mall to be the first in line at the ticketmaster. i ended up getting there at around 9:30 and to my suprise no one was there. at all. so i waited for a while for the store to open when i noticed a small, inconspicuous sign in the window of the store (F.Y.E). it said "ticketmaster is out of order, sorry". i didn't know what to do. it was already ten to ten and i had nowhere to go to get my damn tickets! then i remembered that there was another ticket venue in the mall called todd's tickets. i have never bought tickets for anything here because i had always assumed that they were mad expensive. but i had no choice i tell you! so i head over there to see what was going on. chaos! well not really but there were two guys working there and to my eye, they had had a tad too much coffee that morning. honestly i have never seen two guys at work more hyped up then they were. they were yelling at each other, cursing about everything, yelling about how ticketmaster was down, answering phones, pounding away on their computers. i was a little scared. and here comes meek little me to ask for two police tickets. they yelled at each other some more about who was going to get them for me. it was like a competition between the two of them to see who could get the most ticketson reserve before the other one. it was ridiculous. in the end i got my two tickets, i think. i think the way they work is that they take your order for the tickets and where you want to sit, they take your money and Then get your tickets. i don't know how that's supposed to work but they are supposed to call me in like a week to pick my tix up. lets hope everything goes smoothly. the things we go through to see a show!

  1. Wozniak says I think most people are using the internet now. I've used it now to get tix to two bigger and more competitive shows (Pearl Jam and Ben Harper) and it's worked really well. I caught on after waiting in line in previous years and tickets to shows I wanted to go to would sell out in the first 5 minutes. Hope you're not ripped off and get good seats.
