so.

we have been getting a little more publicity, which is a good thing. we recently played at an art show in my hometown of visalia, CA. it was rather interesting, because we ended up being more of a live art exhibit than performing a concert, but the experience was definitely one that i recommend to anyone who plays music. playing my music and not really caring that much about everyone listening to me was rather freeing...everything that could have gone wrong did, such as the PA crapping out on us, not having mic stands, the other member(s) of the band being late because of uncontrolled circumstances, etc. we ended up playing completely acoustic, which we have not done in a while. spots of people would appear every couple of minutes or so, listen to about two minutes of a song, and then go on their way to the next exhibit. (sometimes they would come back by again, only to find that we were still playing the same song...i write really long songs)

but all in all it was a really awesome experience, and we were told that "everyone loved you!" and all that stuff...

it would be nice to be appreciated for more than just "nice music", though. this may sound really elitist/arrogant (or something of the sort), but as one who writes her music/lyrics based on personal emotions and experiences, it would really do my heart well to hear that someone was able to relate to our songs because they went through the same experience or something like that.

i don't know, am i asking too much?

I don't think that's asking too much. I think that's why I like the Dresden Dolls - she only plays the keyboard well enough to pass, but her lyrical skills are awesome and it's cool that she shares that.

Got a CD or web site? (MOGmail me so I don't forget!)
