I found out a little known fact about Gorillaz song, 19/2000. It gets its drum beat from Sly and The Family Stone's "Sing A Simple Song" and this tidbit of info on my favorite band comes from the fact that 19/2000 was played in the new "American Godzilla" movie, Cloverfield.The original song was used, no remixes. Long before Vanilla Ice and Eminem, there was Malcom McLaren. I remember seeing his video "Buffalo Gals" in the urban clubs I attended in the early eighties when breakdancing was in its beginnings.
