One of the best feelings ever is when you find an artist or group that just sticks in your head and you start scouring around everywhere looking for more info on them, wondering why you didn't listen to them before and why didn't you listen to that person or acquaintance that may have recommended them to you a few years ago at that autumn backyard party where you didn't really want to hang out with the people inside so you went outside and smoked a cigarette and had a beer just so you could start conversation with the other people out there just like yourself and someone mentions Gomez and some people nod and some people don't and you kind of file it in the back of your skull until finally you just hear something by them you have to have and then you can't stop. So that's where I'm at with Gomez. I almost don't want to move to fast on it because I'm afraid I might get disappointed, but for now, that CD did me well on my seven hour road trip back to my parents place in So Cal. On a side note, my most intense new old discovery of music would have to be David Bowie, which happened about three years ago. How did I get this far in life without hearing Hunky Dory?
