Neil Diamond has a new album out, Home Before Dark, and it's great to hear the legend at it again. I've only had a chance to listen to the album once or twice so far, but the first track, If I Don't See You Again, is my favorite so far.

Gilles Peterson has been ripping it up during his last several Worldwide shows.
One of my favorite standouts is a re-edit of Sea of Tranquility by Ahu, which ads a funky, laid back guitar riff over K&G's original horns.

ya yea, this is soundin good alright. who is this gilles peterson?
I first heard Starless and Bible Black sometime last year, and was instantly hooked by the moody melody and melancholic sax.
I knew nothing of Stan Tracey at the time, and looking back am grateful to have come across this melody and the album, Under Milkwood (actually, Jazz Suite Inspired by Dylan Thomas' "Under Milk Wood") - one of the most well-respected jazz recordings to come out of the UK.
