I was going to say how much I like the new Norah Jones album, even though I'm a metal/rap kid, but I saw the "what moggers like me are listening to" and saw Mad world.I love Donnie Darko and knew the song, but (I'm not gonna lie) I d/led the song because of the Gears Of War ad. And although its pretty obvious, this song is so sad and ominous. When it came on I couldn't help but sit and stare. Its so reflective, its hard not to listen to this song and think about your life.Its a lot like Radiohead for me, I like it, I want to listen to it, but its so depressing that I find myself on the verge of tears every time its on! Its a thumbs up just for the emotion that it brings out, even if that emotion isnt the most fun to feel.~magep.s. since this is my first blog on mog (HA!) I didnt see a spell check and my spelling is HORRIBLE, so i'm sorry.

River Lethe says Tears for Fears is pretty overlooked, in my opinion, despite the fact that their songwriting is much better than most other pop bands of their ere. That being said, I think Gary Jules' version is one of the instances of a cover song eclipsing the original. I hate the fact that the soundtrack to Donnie Darko, the one worth having anyway, is an over-priced import.
