Is it just me, or does the last track off of Omar's new album Se Dice Bisonte, No Bufalo, titled La Tirania de la Tradicion, sound alot like something At the Drive-In might have done. I mean, its got the more straight forward song structure, Cedric even sings alittle more edgier, reminding me of certain songs off of Relationship. And at the end it drops into weird noises, which is nothing weird for At the Drive-In or the Mars Volta, so who can say. One thing Omar, way over mixing the guitar on this one, maybe its ok for the rest of the album, but on this track it would have been nice to be able to hear some of the drum and bass parts. They are much less present compared to the guitar, keyboard, and vocal parts. Jon Theodore makes a surprise return here to Omar and Cedrics little pantomine on the drum kit, is it a one time thing, or can we look forward to more of this in the future. Can we look forward to the return of At the Drive-In...probably not.
