WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Leaving town

Posted 2 months ago

Well Boston, what is there left to say? I don't like the gravity associated with goodbyes. I liked your sense of self and after these past 7 years, I don't feel like the stranger I was when I first set my feet down. . I have been seduced away by that infamous tramp New York City. Can I count on you if I fall apart? I seem to recall a few moments when I had need to. I will miss all of my rockin' friends that are still living in this brick city and I wish them the absolute best. Lets try to keep in touch despite distances and the Fung-Wah buses between them. I will most certainly visit you all again often. Before I depart, a list…

  1. pool crashing
  2. skating St. Alphonsus st. through the light
  3. Murphy's, especially when BQEZ was playing there
  4. trying to work/hanging out at studio
  5. running in JP
  6. canoeing with dub Panda on the Charles
  7. 4th of July at the monument
  8. Gibby & the Buzzkills' shows
  9. all of 452 park
  10. pale yellow bug RIP

Did I hold you back? :) Cheers!

thanks for the well wishes Chuck! of course, I'll still be around these parts-a-plenty. lately I wonder : exactly what percentage of its population does NYCity treat well, heh, but I do hope I don't get spit back out by it too soon! I'm originally from NH, so there will certainly be a period of adjustment, but my gf assures me anything is possible in New York...

not sure if she means that positively or negatively specifically, I think its purposefully vague for a reason. like : you could have the time of your life and acquire a fantastic wealth of experiences and friends... or alternatively: you could be robbed of your worldly possessions and hit by a bus in the same afternoon. but I'm holding on to my Granite optimism regarding the matter.

I know that you and NYC will rock each other... in the best possible way, of course. Enjoy!

Well, hopefully, the good stuff on that will happen!  Not so much the bad.

And yes, we must trade.  Once you get settled-ish.
