Bjork Volta mini review

Artist:

Album:Volta [5/8]

Track:Hope
She's back. Her best in years. More than upbeat, there are some happy happy dance tracks on Volta (that's right, double happiness). Every Timbaland track is bangin (I can see JT dancing to them easily.) If you've been listening you will have already heard two of them. The third, Hope, is only slightly more soft dance track due to the kora and tabla(?). But its not only glowsticks and acid on this album, there a few mature and mellow tracks. Very good, especially Dull Flame of Desire, which ends with a bang and Vertebrae by Vertebrae, that sounds like its off an Alfred Hitchcock soundtrack. And there's a weird cut, Declare Independance. Its ok, kinda sounds like Atari Teenage Riot slowed down. The remix of I See Who You Are is excellent (better than the original version of the song). Overall, Bjork is doing what we've always wanted her to do, screaming and dancing. Buy the album, its focking wicked.
