TAKE OFF YOUR SOCKS LEST THEY BE KNOCKED

if you want it

my mother used to have this box of 45's she kept tucked underneath our dinosaur-size stereo system. she rarely played them, always claimed to prefer her albums, complained about having to set that little clip into the middle circle, that it took too much time. i know the real reason was because that box of 45's were a wedding present to her and my dad, and she did not like to remember a time when it was joanie and jim anymore.but, i loved them. and this, this song, was my very favorite."a very merry christmasand a happy new yearlet's hope it's a good onewithout any fear."lucy.

  1. Dale says I _loved_ the little clips, but then my mom got a record player that had a little plastic thing you could pull up to hold the 45's. Now if I could just find my 45's. I used to have "Goody Two Shoes".

  4. FastRMacR says 45rpm - soul candy (warm fuzzy poppy things that gave someone the idea for the compact disc size and what artists used to think of as the choicest tunes). A favorite song of mine too - thanks for the post. (I DO Want IT)

  6. Wade says I have recently been relistening to a lot of John Lennon, thanks. The song that has made a big impression on me is "Mother"--what a powerful, heartbreaking song that is.

  7. Mike the Knife says I waxed a bit on this contemporary carol last MOGmas. But it's an annual treat, and continues to be oh-so-very relevant, lucy.
