MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

Artist:
Album:

i just got back from my annual trip to canada to visit family and relax at a friend's cabin in Quebec (i was born in Hamilton, ON) and, as usual, i brought back stuff for friends. only this time, instead of coffee crisp, aero, and real smarties (the chocolate ones) i brought back music!

so, tip number one, never ask people in big music chains for help finding music. they're just there to sell movies. unless, they're wearing ridiculously faded and worn-out black and red converse high-tops and speak with a slight french accent. then they'll reccomend Les Cowboys Fringants' "La Grande-Messe" seriously, buy it. it's just amazing.

but other than that one cd, you're flying solo and just have to know what's good. which sucks. they should seriously hire people who care about music to work at a music store.

anyhoo. Malajube's Trompe-L'Oeil is less folky-more rock, but still amazing.

and that's all....for now. if i see you in the next month, be prepared to listen to some of this stuff 'cause it's not leaving my bag/cd player for a while.

p.s. this isn't posted on here yet, so my myspace is: www.myspace.com/xxbrightshadowxx

p.s.s. the pictures from the trip will be on my flickr soon, and that's www.flickr.com/photos/loverfoxwhat
