Fuji Rock Festival... 4 days and counting!
Well, I'm off to the Fuji Rock Festival again this year and to be honest, I wasn't all that excited about it at first. Last year there was a line-up with a lot of bands I knew and loved but this year, there were so many i had never heard of, and those I had, I wasn't that fussed about except The Breeders, Michael Franti, Rodrigo y Gabriela and My Bloody Valentine.
I've spent all this weekend on MOG looking up every band in the line-up and now I'm buzzed about the festival. Thank God for MOG! Now I have the problem that there are often bands I want to see that are on at the same time. Mmmmn, think I'm gonna be running really fast between stages this year which is not always easy. Over 100,000 people trying to do the same thing makes for an interesting time!
I love how this festival is run. Almost all trash is recycled, with a lot of it turned into items to be used at the following year's festival. People are generally courteous, it's well staffed and you can't get better festival food anywhere else. The loos aren't even too bad!
Are there any other Fujirockers out there in Mogland?

Did you go all the way to Japan for the festival?
No, I've been living here for about 7 years. Being a foreigner, it's sometimes difficult to get all the info about concerts before tickets sell out but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I've been able to see some great shows here at venues much better than in my home country (NZL) and the crowds are not so dangerous here. I can actually escape unscathed after being in a mosh pit here!
