MOG

Last Friday I went to see Kaki at Higherground in Burlington, VT. The concert all around was amazing. As a lot of the Kaki fans there didn't enjoy her band at all, I liked the band. While still liking Kaki's solo stuff better, the drummer in her band was the definite leader of the band. He was drumming out beats that could be mixed into a hard rock track.

To open the show came out 19 year old Berklee School of Music student, Emily Elbert. Now this girl was a real treat. Covering "Thriller" with just her acoustic guitar and her bluesy voice, this girl could play. I've also never heard The Allman Brothers' "Whipping Post" played so well. Her album is available on iTunes with 11 original songs.
