A provocative title, it certainly enticed me to "read":http://www.slate.com/id/2166480/fr/rss/ on.Should I believe the hype? Any pointers?I've filed this in the World genre, which I always think of as a lazy kind of miscellaneous, but until I hear more...

Kate says I like to stay far away from anything using "greatest in the world" as a descriptor. That said, I love Tinariwen, and their live concert was incredible. Several of us have made posts w/ audio/video/etc about Tinariwen, which you can read here: http://mog.com/music/Tinariwen
