    tstarkmi says 'Stratford-On-Guy' by Liz Phair will always be special to me. I'm not sure why; I remember the exact moment I fell in love with it; on a flight back from Louisville, KY to Detroit, MI... it was on the headphones of my 'walkman CD' during descent into the Detroit area, nighttime... the city was all lit up. That moment was 14 years ago, and I was 21 years old at the time. Maybe it was a coming of age moment or something. I felt completely present. And emotional. And eyes wide open. I'll never forget it - or the song.

    Why?  i don't know.  It's not a nice song, but it's a beautiful song.  The moment I heard it (It's the last song on "Heretic Pride") I went...WOaH.  Some songs just catch me like that, with no warning and no explanation. 

    Like waves on an ocean.  One minute you are just wading in and then BLAM you let the current take you and you are in way over your head.
