One week ago today, the third annual Rock for Hunger Festival rocked Orlando, Florida. For those of you who attended, thank you - and I hope you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves. The feedback we have received has been very positive and I am very thankful for its unexpected fluidity. For those that failed to make it out, shame on you! You missed out a truly momentous event that benefited the entire Central Florida community.
I know we have been covering this event as if it was the only thing that existed on the planet for the last month, but rest assured that this will be the final post about last week's festival. I can't promise, however, that we won't start promoting the newly greenlit "Rock for Hunger Fest 4" in a few months. That will obviously be coming up in November of 2009.
Now on to the good stuff - What did you see/miss? What bands tore the roof off? Below, you will find a list of some of my favorite happenings throughout the event:
- POB charmed the crowd walking through the doors as they opened at 2:00pm.
- Social Ghost opened the Bud Light stage with their rendition of flawless odd-time pop rock.
- Planet Smoothie served the exclusive "Rocksophagus Smoothie" (which happened to be delicious.
- Much to the weatherman's dismay, it didn't rain all day.
- Junkie Rush had everyone dancing.
- Ronyai and Rubox Cube proved to us why you don't need to play an instrument to put on an entertaining musical performance.
- The Whole Foods stage was the most popular of the day.
- Alex Baugh had girls dancing on the stage with him.
- Union Made put some funk on the Main Stage.
- Volunteers were running around with determination - and chaos it seemed.
- The first ever Talk4Hunger newspaper was disbursed as the program for the event.
- Mirrorpal highlighted the Bud Light Stage as the best band all day (in my opinion).
- Laura Reed surprised everyone (in a good way).
- G-Ro, who also doubled as event host Greg Rollett, changed his wardrobe multiple times - But he also happened to highlight the Whole Foods stage.
- Kardinal Offishall worked the crowd like a born entertainer by having everyone moving at all times.

See you all at Number 4!

Many grats, really glad it went well!
"Volunteers were running around with determination - and chaos it seemed" ahahha in my experience, volunteers either do that, or are nowhere to be found 'cause they're too busy sulking. I'm glad you got the first category :)
Thanks for the review!
