So I've posted bout these lads before... as the local Philly band Huffamoose... they had a few ALMOST hits - one was a song called James... such a brilliant song really & another I Wanna Buy You a Ring - used in an ad for J C Penneys... SERIOUSLY ;) They called it quits a while back, but not before they became the subject of a documentary Here Comes Huffamoose that was hailed by Mr. Music Lovah Cameron Crowe hissssself as one of the best rock movies of all time. ... Here's a little tune I recorded yesterday... not necessarily a polished song, more an improvised collection of parts... still sometimes the quickies like this turn out something unexpected... After the intro, you'll hear a chord progression used by Fahey in some versions of "The Red Pony"... it is in open Dm

This one takes me back to 8th grade. Remember when they sold CD's in those long boxes, supposedly to allow for the cover art to stand out, or maybe just to make CD's more attractive than the small boring cassettes (with their small boring profit margins). This is a grassroots movement. We (the other strikers and myself) love this little piece of cyber real estate. We have literally built homes here and consider each other 'family'. The issues MOG has been having of late aren't really new. This last outage was by far the longest but we have seen outages before, does the term 'site maintenance' ring a bell? Last thursday, I had the privilege of seeing Lykke Li at Bowery Ballroom, along with another Swedish dove, Sarah Assbring's El Perro Del Mar (dog of the sea).
The crowd was quaking with industry folk and just about every blog and mag editor was in the house- intent to see if she lived up to her hype.

The BROW series continues this week with a studio out-take from the Wings London Town sessions. Despite the album title, much of this album was recorded in the Virgin Islands on Paul's yacht Fair Carol during May 1977 and Waterspout was most likely one of the tracks they worked on there.
