WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

black attack

Put on your Ray-Bans, summer is just around the corner and The Black Keys are back -- this time bigger, bolder, and better than ever before. While some tracks may easily be compared to The White Stripes, The Black Keys have a deeper and more soul-searching sound that cuts to the bone of blues rock. Their 2008 album, "Attack & Release" is more ferocious than all of their previous records put together and seals their fate as a classic blues rock band suitable for barbecues, beach parties and festivals in the park.

  2. Bartleby says "The Black Keys have a deeper and more soul-searching sound that cuts to the bone of blues rock" -- from what I've heard they've also looked up to Ike Turner with their producer Danger Mouse who I must confess is like a "wet nurse" of sound than Svengali. I've got my sunglasses on and am ready to be taken by The Black Keys. I agree with you. I've listened to their album and really liked their hefty sounds be it with guitars, banjos or flute. (For some reason, notifs don't work anymore -- glad I caught this one)

  3. lilja88 says That's right, "Attack & Release" was produced by Danger Mouse...I knew I forgot something. Thanks! P.S. Those star shades suit you perfectly ;)

  4. Bartleby says Thanks, I'm a bit skint and can't afford RBs but I'm sure you make these look good (Sorry, I don't think I should consider a career in style-consulting yet)

  6. Bartleby says Heheh... Lilja can be easily transliterated into "Lolita." Trouble is I don't think one can turn Bartleby into Humbert Humbert so neatly ;) (How did you know that Nabokov was one of my favourite author?)

  7. lilja88 says I don't know, by tapping into your psyche, I suppose ;) Just kidding...I'm pretty sure you've mentioned it before.
